Atlas / Pellizzari Electric was hired by Proterra to design and build out a R&D facility for them located in Burlingame.  Proterra is a leader in the design and manufacturing of zero-emission electric buses that reduce fleet operating costs and eliminate dependency on fossil-fuels.  The project included a complete build-out of a 27,000 square foot facility.  The work included a new 4,000 amp, 480V switchboard with new PG&E service and bus duct. This amount of power was needed to handle the operating loads of the battery production and testing equipment.  This project included huge feeder conduits, racks, and lots of planning to bring power to the new equipment quickly and efficiently.  It was an exciting project that required us to remain available for the various electrical adders and changes that were required well after the initial build out.
